Racha (Racha Yai or Raya) Island is located 12 km south of Phuket. It’s one of the best places in the Phuket area for diving, snorkelling and relaxing on the beach.
The trip by speedboat will only take about 30 minutes. You’ll be greeted by friendly Bungalow Bay, where the water is always calm and practically without waves. This island’s convenient location has made it one of the most popular year-round snorkelling destinations.
You’ll also see many diving boats here. Tourists who want to try divingfor the first time in Phuket are taken to this spot. The crystal-clear shallow waters allow scuba diving, for both experienced and novice divers.
The underwater world in the vicinity of Racha Island is very rich. There’s a multitude of beautiful coral. It isn’t without reason that ocean fishing is normally practiced near this island.
There are a few small bays and 2 large beaches on the island: one at Bungalow Bay and the other at Siam Bay. Tourists are usually taken to Bungalow Bay, since there’s a specially-equipped docking pontoon there. But, by spending 10 minutes and passing through a palm grove on the island, you’ll find yourself on the practically deserted beach of Siam Bay. In addition to the beaches themselves, where you’ll spend practically the entire day, we’ll take you by speedboat to a rocky coast where the water is even purer and there are even more fish. You’ll be able to snorkel directly from the boat there.
