Wakeboarding is one of the most dynamically developing sports. Its name is a combination of the words wake (waves produced by a motorboat) and board. A winch to pull the participant is added to these two components, which results in a captivating watersport. A closed-course cable system will speed you along the lake in under a minute. The advantage of cable-towed wakeboarding versus the boat-towed variety is that traction comes from overhead, which helps to keep you above the water. This type of sport not only provides pleasure from the process itself, but also tones practically every muscle. You’ll notice the next morning, after your first day of wakeboarding. Wakeboarding isn’t a particularly violent sport. But still, don’t forget to wear a helmet and lifejacket.
Phuket Cable Ski operates year-round no matter what the weather, and is equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable vacation. The following are at your disposal: changing rooms, shower stalls, a snack bar, a European/Thai/Russian restaurant, free Wi-Fi. Have a cup of coffee and go for it!
This activity may seem very difficult and only accessible to professional athletes. In reality, no matter how much experience you have with this, you’ll be able to stand up firmly on the water after only a half hour and some coaching from the experienced instructors. They’ll help you choose the needed equipment, which is included in the price. Begin by sitting on the board. Then with skis – it’s a bit easier. Afterwards, you can try on a board again, standing up. The hardest part is to learn to get started. If you enjoy downhill skiing or snowboarding, you absolutely must try this captivating activity.
Everything at the centre is organized to make this activity convenient, not only for experienced riders, but also for beginners. The winch travels at 29 km/hour – the lake is 410 metres long. For those confident in their skills, up/down ramps are located on each side.
