One more excursion from Phuket island for beach vacation. Excursion to Krabi includes visiting of Koh Hong, Talay Waek, Koh Poda islands and Phranang Cave beach. All 4 stops will be on sand beaches, where you can swim and sunbathe.
Koh Hong Island is famous for its white sandy beach, coral and exceptional diversity of tropical fish. This beach is surrounded by limestone rocks, which creates an impression of intimacy. Here, there are rarely many tourists, which makes the island seem deserted.
Phranang Cave Beach is considered a favourite spot by climbers. If you take a good look at the tall rocks, you’ll probably notice a few groups reaching for the summit. This island’s legend goes back several centuries, but faith in the the princess-goddess is still strong among the locals. The princess’s cave is a sacred place, so visits to this site must be done respectfully.
The next stop is on the incredibly beautiful island of Talay Waek, which is composed of 3 rocks linked together by white sand. One of these rocks was nicknamed ‘Chicken Island’ because of an unusual outcropping on the rock which resembles a chicken’s head. At high tide, the rock becomes an island. At low tide, a narrow sandy isthmus appears which links it to the two other rocks.
The last stop is Koh Poda Island. No larger than 1 km in diameter, it’s covered with palm trees and practically surrounded by a sandy coast. Coral reefs begin 20 meters from the coast. Such a combination of beautiful coastal scenery and perfect snorkelling location make it one of the most appealing vacation destinations.
