By choosing one of the excursions from Phuket to Bangkok, you get the opportunity to experience the new colors of Asia. If you are vacationing in Phuket, then you may want to move from a quiet, relaxing beach holiday to the noise of an Asian metropolis with its special exoticism and unusual entertainment. The capital of Thailand is scattered with its noisy, bustling neighborhoods along the Chao Phraya River, near its confluence with the Gulf of Thailand. One of the most high-tech cities in the world is crowded with people and skyscrapers stuck in the clouds. The metropolis is like a giant anthill in which anyone who enters it can disappear.
How to get there on your own
The distance will have to be covered significantly — about 700 km. Therefore, there are several options for getting from Bangkok to Phuket.
The fastest modern way is, of course, an airplane. To travel, you can use one of the domestic flights. The flight time is only one and a half hours. To be sure, you need to add to this the waiting time for the flight, check-in, security screening and travel to the airport. The most budget option would be a Bangkok-Phuket plane with a low-cost airline. Flight prices start from 412 baht. The price of a flight on the same route with a regular airline can be two or even three times more expensive.
Taking the train is not the best way to get to Bangkok. Trains in the country often arrive late, which needs to be taken into account when planning your trip. Depending on the train you choose — diesel or night express, the travel time will be 8 and a half and 11 hours, respectively. The cost of the trip is estimated ranging from 300 to 1500 baht.
The trip from Phuket to Bangkok by bus is quite difficult. Despite the comfort of express trains, you will have to spend more than 12 hours on the road, and this despite the fact that tickets are not cheap — from 420 baht.
And yet, the popularity of this method of transportation is still evidenced by the number of flights — about 10 per day. When choosing a bus, keep in mind that certain routes may have baggage weight restrictions.
In general, if we compare the ratio of price and travel duration, air travel is still considered the best option.
All attractions in one tour
The travel company Phuket Chip Tour organizes one- and two-day tours to Bangkok Phuket. By choosing one of the proposed options, you can visit the most famous attractions of the capital of Thailand. Tour prices start from 5,500 baht per person. This includes meeting the guide at the airport with a car and hotel accommodation.
The three programs offered by the company are varied and designed for tourists with different preferences. Excursions include visits to the Royal Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, trips along the canals and historical sites of the city. The schedule also provides free time for independent walks around the city, entertainment and shopping. At the end of the excursion program, you will be provided with a transfer to the airport for your return to Phuket.
While walking around Bangkok on your own, you can meet helpers — people who help tourists find the right place. Better stock up on a guidebook — by agreeing to help, you will be forced to visit several stores, where the helper will not leave you until you buy something.
In an effort to find a good shot for a photo, under no circumstances climb onto Buddha statues, even if they are ruins. Thais will take this as an insult.
When visiting temples and monasteries, take care to cover your shoulders and legs, avoid shorts and overly revealing T-shirts.
