Flyboarding in Phuket is one of the most spectacular yet accessible water sports. You literally rise above the water on a powerful jet stream, controlling your body as if you were flying. It looks challenging and extreme, but in practice, most people feel confident after just their first lesson.
Flyboarding is interesting because it doesn’t require physical strength or athletic training—balance and understanding of the movements are key. Control is achieved by shifting your body weight: lean slightly forward to move forward, straighten up to hover above the water. A feeling of control and «flight» quickly develops, which is what people come to try this sport for.
The lesson is conducted under the full supervision of the team:

If you follow the instructions, flyboarding is considered a safe activity—the height and water flow are adjusted by the instructor and gradually increased only when you are ready.
How does the training proceed?
First, the instructor explains in detail the control techniques and principles of maintaining balance.
After that, you take to the water.
Your first attempts take place in shallow water—about waist-deep. The flyboard behaves the same underwater as above, so you learn to maintain balance in the safest possible conditions.
Then gradually:
You begin to confidently stand on the board.
The instructor lifts you about half a meter and corrects your movements.
Once you gain control, the height can be increased as desired.
The first 10 minutes—learning balance.
Some people need 10 minutes, others around 20—everything is individual.
Following the instructor’s prompts, you quickly grasp the principles of control.
The youngest participant to confidently stand on the board was 8 years old, the oldest was 70.
About 99% of guests take to the air for the first time.
