As of 1 August 2024, the famous Blue Tree amusement park in Phuket has officially closed its doors to the public. This closure, according to the park management, is complete and there is no information about a possible future reopening at this time. The reasons for the park’s closure have not been disclosed, but the event marks the end of one of the island’s favourite attractions where guests could enjoy water activities and family fun.
However, life near the former park grounds has not stopped. The shopping village that fronted the entrance to Blue Tree continues to welcome visitors and locals alike. Here you can find cosy craft shops, a variety of restaurants, children’s play areas, as well as massage parlours and much more. The shopping village remains a popular venue for a variety of events, including live concerts and holiday celebrations, supporting the cultural life of the neighbourhood.
In addition to entertainment and shopping, the Blue Tree Project continues to participate in the Ocean Blue Tree initiative, aimed at protecting marine life and conservation. A visit to the shopping village not only promises an enjoyable time, but also gives everyone the opportunity to contribute to conservation by supporting this important environmental project.
Although the closure of Blue Tree Phuket came as a surprise to many, the shopping village offers new recreational opportunities, inviting visitors to continue to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of Phuket, as well as support important environmental initiatives.
