Just an hour and a half drive from bustling Phuket hides the real gem of southern Thailand — the province of Phang Nga. This is a place where majestic limestone cliffs, as if growing right out of the water, meet with emerald lagoons, secret caves and secluded temples among the greenery.
Many people know Phang Nga for the bay and the famous James Bond Island, but the real soul of this region is revealed on land. Here you can see Thailand as it was before the influx of tourists — real, calm, deep. One of the most photogenic places is the observation deck of Samet Nangshi. It offers a magical view of Phang Nga Bay in the morning fog, when the rocks seem to float in the clouds. This place has long won the hearts of photographers and travelers looking for inspiration.
For those seeking solitude and communion with nature, travel along the Soc River, surrounded by a national park. Here you can go jungle trekking, refresh yourself at a waterfall or feed elephants at the elephant village. There are also hot springs, wild beaches, local markets where you can barely hear English and friendly people living a measured life amidst verdant hills.
You can discover all this — and more — on our Phang Nga overland tours. We’ve put together itineraries that are suitable for families and travelers in love with nature, culture and unhurried discovery. Check out all the tour options and choose your own.
